Macquarie York is pleased to announce that we have appointed Roberts Co as our Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) partner for Sunset Residences, our landmark riverfront project at 50 Sunset Boulevard, Surfers Paradise.

This appointment marks an important step in the progression of the project. Engaging Roberts Co early allows our teams to work closely together on design refinement, buildability, construction sequencing and cost planning, ensuring the development is set up with the right framework from day one.

Sunset Residences is positioned on a rare absolute riverfront site on the Nerang River and will comprise a 31-storey tower with 70 luxury residences, premium wellness amenities, and 107 secure parking spaces. As a signature project in our portfolio, it is essential that we partner with a builder that brings strong technical capability, attention to detail and a collaborative approach — and Roberts Co has demonstrated that alignment throughout the tender and appointment process.

Their involvement during the ECI phase will support our focus on delivering a high-quality outcome, providing greater certainty around program, construction methodology and key delivery milestones as we move toward the commencement of works.

We look forward to working closely with the Roberts Co team to bring Sunset Residences to life and to setting a new benchmark for riverfront living in Surfers Paradise. Construction will commence following completion of the ECI process and final design resolutions.
